I WANT MORE NAP TIME!

Every morning when we get Layla up to go to Elba's, we have to hear I WANT MORE NAP TIME shouted at the top of her lungs. Usually followed by a stiff arm or a kick at our head. Yes, my little angel is NOT a morning person and is down right mean.

Now you need to picture us every night, while trying to get her to go to bed earlier, trying to reason with a two year old.

"Layla, you know how you yell about wanting more nap time in the morning? Well, if you go to bed now, you won't have to wake up so grumpy".

Yep, we look like idiots and let's face it, developmentally she couldn't follow that logic if we gave it to her with cake. But yet we try.

So yesterday when she was jumping all over daddy wanting him to get up with us and I pulled out the "you know how you yell about more nap time? Well, now daddy wants more nap time". I think she saw it as her opportunity to get even for all the times we woke her up. Needless to say, I won't be using that tactic again. Empathy is NOT one of her strengths at this age.
