Layla was extra sensitive today for some reason. Mike raised his voice at her for something and the most heartbreaking scene unfolded. One that I'm certain could have been scripted for a movie.
Her bottom lip came out and the puppy eyes commenced.
Head slowly started shaking back and forth when asked what was wrong.
Two fat little tears welled up in her eyes and she exaggerated picking up the bottom of her shirt and using it to blot her tears. Then she stuck her fists in her eyes and did the little kid rub.
When asked again what was wrong, she raised her extended arm and pointed directly at Mike. And then began to cry.
Not bad, kid. Not bad.
